Uwanna Smith is the Executive Director of Academic and Research Computing in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. She leads a team of professionals responsible for the college's computing, networking, and physical infrastructure, as well as the technical support necessary to sustain its programs in research, instruction, and administration.

Uwanna has over 30 years of experience in Information Technology within higher education, including more than 15 years in IT management. Before becoming the Executive Director, she served as the Director of Enterprise Support and Facilities. Since joining the College in 1996, she has held various technical and administrative support roles. In November, Uwanna will celebrate 33 years of service at Georgia Tech.
